Topic: Past Life Regressions and Reincarnation
For our next group we will be exploring Past Lives and Reincarnation.
To gain an appreciation for past lives we will be exploring the work of Brian Weiss, MD. Dr. Brian Weiss is a respected psychiatrist who in the midst of a traditional medical academic career he stumbled upon past lives while administering hypnotherapy with a client. He wrote a best selling book, Many Lives Many Masters, that shares his life changing experience with this client. He has written and lectured extensively about past lives and their meaning. He also trains therapists how to perform past life regressions. I suggest the Dr. Brian Weiss’ interview on Afterlife TV interview (50 min) to get a sense for past lives.
For our exploration in reincarnation, we will turn to Dr. Jim Tucker, a colleague of the late Dr. Ian Stevenson. Dr. Stevenson conducted ground-breaking research on children that supported the reality of reincarnation. Dr. Tucker carries on this research on reincarnation begun by Dr. Stevenson at the University of Virginia. Another well documented story of reincarnation is about a boy who remembered and then verified a past life in Northern England. This YouTube piece, “The boy lives in Glasgow and remembers his past life on the remote island of “Barra,” features the researcher Dr. Jim Tucker, referred to above. (50 min)
